Avoid This Credit Union – Misleading Promotions & Poor Service

I strongly advise against opening an account with Financial Partners Credit Union. Don’t be fooled by their $100 referral promotion—it's not worth the frustration. I referred a new customer, and the way they treated him was absolutely unacceptable.

First, this branch—the most convenient location for him—does not have an ATM outside for after-hours or Sunday use. Since he needed to deposit 15 checks, he went in person, only to discover there was no ATM. Instead, he used a partner credit union’s ATM, which should have been a seamless process.

However, Financial Partners CU then refused to release his money, despite acknowledging they had it. Instead of assisting him, they blamed him for not depositing during business hours, for not using mobile deposit, and for not calling ahead to request they retrieve the deposit details from their partner credit union. To make matters worse, they never even informed him about the hold—he only found out when he called to check.

This experience has been nothing but frustrating and unprofessional. If you value reliability and customer service, take your business elsewhere.

I had a great first time here, I didn’t have an account and I wanted to cash a check. With no hesitation I forget the crew that was working this day, but they did their best and went above and beyond to help me cash it at the same time being secure with my INFORMATION and PERSONAL SPACE. I got my check cashed and said I would come and make an account next time I came that I was in a rush to get my vehicle fixed. Now unfortunately I have came here today 11/13/24 9:30-9:45 AM. In 15 mins of being inside this location. I was racially profiled, and discriminated against based off my looks no this woman JANE CUDIA(not to sure how to spell her last name) we can not cash anything if you do not have an account here.. now I told her I cashed here before just don’t remember how it was done I know I spoke with someone over the ATM Machine they have onsite with a video camera and they were able to cash my check. JANE stated “you can try depositing it, it all depends on your bank.” I went to the ATM and began to use it, I asked the gentleman sitting in the front for assistance because I didn’t want to wait a few day for my check to clear. I asked if he could help me try to speak with someone on the ATM He stated “ you can cancel the deposit and tap the screen and someone will be called. I did as I was speaking to a lady over the video. JANE came and interrupted the call and proceeded to tell the woman “this call is done.” Then canceled the call herself. Im here confused as to why this woman is in my PERSONAL SPACE and ending a call between me and someone else.. I became to feel uncomfortable and profiled never in my 31 years of living has anyone made me feel this way… I have always giving respect to gain it back… this woman felt privileged enough to end my call and get uncomfortably close to me. I asked her why she did that and JANE stated I can look you up. I told her why when the lady was already in the middle of doing that and you ended our call… JANE WAS STUCK as to what she has done being the kind man I am I let JANE look up to see if she can assist me further like the other crew dis my first time I came. She couldn’t find anything with my information. I asked is there anything else we can do then I changed my mind because at this point I felt like I was being discriminated against. My first time dealing with a WHITE WOMAN LIKE THIS. I look past these situations when it’s not don’t to me because it is not my business. But I have shown nth but respect as soon as I walked through the door even signaled, “can I enter” and I leave feeling like trash like… I asked for the managers card and name and JANES name as well. I will be contacting Lindsay Heddon calls and emails about this situation it is unprofessional and ugly to have someone like that make a hard working man/father feel like this.

ATTENTION, DO NOT OPEN ACCOUNT HERE! The worst banking experience. Incompetent people at the branch stores and on the phone. They kept holding my work checks. They charged me 300 dollars in made-up fees, and then they refused to give explanations!!! Never saw that money again.

She's not only personable and friendly, but also incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile. Whenever I have a question or concern, I know Jane will provide the answers and support I need.

Although I already bank at another credit union, Jane is the reason I continue to choose FPCU for my additional banking needs. I trust her implicitly with my finances, knowing she'll always be honest and guide me toward the best financial decisions. She's also my go-to resource for learning about the latest products and services.

Because of Jane's exceptional service and expertise, I wholeheartedly give FPCU a 5-star rating. They're lucky to have such a knowledgeable and fabulous banker on their team!

Always a good experience for me. Have been using fpcu and this branch for a while and never had any problems. low interest on my loan, free checking account, and low interest on my credit card. Nothing more I should have to say! Ina was wonderful and very informative. Recommend seeing her!

I have always preferred credit unions. They are obviously closer to their customers than any mainstream bank would allow. FPCU IN IRVINE off Michaelson has been tremendous with me. They have refinanced 3 of my cars when I had health and financial disaster almost take me down. My last loan was approved and sent for funding in 22 hours. I cannot tell u how much I appreciate FPCU! In fact they just called today to let me know that my credit card was approved for several thousand dollars. I do not by any means have a perfect credit score but these guys listened to me- heard me and looked at my short history with them and decided to help save my financial life when a car I bought from Mercedes’ needed a new engine I can’t afford Financial partners listened to my plan and helped! I am now able to deal with my huge health issues without this financial burden trying to kill me also. Thank u guys! Absolutely the best!

I am so PLEASED! with the level of service I received from “Financial Partners Irvine”. I really want to give kudos to “Jane” and “Sonnie” for really going over and beyond in actively assisting me with an issue regarding my finances with the institution. Even after i thought all hope was lost they both worked dillegently and didn’t stop until a positive resolution was received!. In all of my years of banking I’ve never received this level of support from any institution. I appreciated their efforts and will definitely remain a member. ?

I sold my car private party and the recipient chose this bank. We showed up at 2:30pm to finalize the deal and left at 5pm closing time AND had to come back the next morning because nothing was done correctly. The lady who walked us through everything was courteous and professional, however very unprepared and lacked training. Maybe the APR is worth the hassle, but I wouldn't recommend this branch.
